Old Highway 30 and the Columbia River Gorge: Oregon Landscape Photography
This photo was taken looking up Highway 30, the old Columbia River Highway as it winds it's way around the cliffs up to the Rowena Crest lookout, which is about 10 miles west of The Dalles, Oregon. This photo was taken in late November as you can see the clouds overhead have finally pushed their way through the mountains to bring some shade to the golden hills in the back drop. Before the Interstate 84 freeway was constructed, cars and trucks had to travel this road if they wanted to get to Portland from the north eastern regions of the state. Can you imagine having to make the trip up this winding-narrow road in the icy conditions in the winter time with the 40 mph Columbia Gorge winds trying to blow you over cliff? Hang this picture on the wall in your living room, office, hallway or bedroom.

If you want a different size, different finish, or different paper than what I offer in my listing, feel free to reach out to me. I work with a printing company to print my photos and if they are not able to print specifically what you want to have printed, I will work with you to figure out a solution to satisfy all parities involved.
