Highway Through the Forest: Eastern Oregon Landscape Photography

Photo of Oregon State Highway 218 as it makes it's way through Robinson Canyon between the towns of Fossil and Antelope. This photo was taken in late May of 2012 during the late Spring. The green on the trees, shrubbery, grass and surrounding hillside along with the rich brown and red dirt were the result of a wet spring. The blue sky backdrop with the white and gray clouds give this picture the contrast it needs. You can see the back of what appears to be a road sign partially hidden by the large pine tree on the left side of the highway. It's like the tree grew around the sign almost as if to cover it on purpose. As if nature doesn't want the oncoming travelers to know there are dangerous curves ahead. Perfect picture to hang on the wall in your living room, office, hallway or bedroom.
