Abandoned Cattle Ranch on the John Day River: Eastern Oregon Landscape Photography

Photo of an old abandoned cattle ranch on the John Day River in the Cottonwood Canyon in eastern Oregon. This old farmstead sits just north of the Cottonwood Bridge. The barn, outbuildings, and original farmhouse still stand to this day as the old ranch has been converted into campgrounds, an information center, and a trail head for hiking trails. Even the old animal chutes are still there as you can see to the right of the barn. The fast moving waters of the John Day River meandering just to the right of them in the distance. Hang this piece of history on the wall in your living room, office, hallway or bedroom and take a trip back in time.
