Wishram in the Columbia River Gorge: Eastern Washington Landscape Photography
Photo taken of the little town of Wishram, Washington near the Maryhill Winery on the eastern end of the Columbia River Gorge. Photo was taken in late March as the early Spring sun casts it's shadow over the Eastern Oregon plateaus across the river in the background. The painted green desert hills over the town in the foreground as well as the empty streets paint the picture of a sleepy little town just waking up from a long, cold, wet, and dark winter. Much like a hibernating bear waking up from several months of slumber. The rows of railroad tracks converge together to lead a freight train to the Oregon Trunk Railroad Bridge and beyond to it's final destination. And finally, there is a partially hidden Mt. Hood at the top right of the picture complete with it's little halo cloud. Perfect photo to hang on the wall in your living room, office, hallway or bedroom. Also perfect to make a postcard out of.
