Bagdad Theater: Historic Portland Places
Photo of the historic Bagdad Theater on Hawthorne Blvd. in Portland, Oregon. Photo was taken just after dark (approximately 9:30 pm) on a busy Saturday evening in early August of 2025. This photo was taken with extended exposure as evident by the light streaks of the passing vehicles. Across the street on the other side of the light streaks you can see people sitting at tables eating, drinking, conversing with one another, and enjoying a laid back evening. The Bagdad Theater is part of the Hawthorne District in SE Portland, and was established in 1927. It was the site of the movie premieres of One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest in 1975, and My Own Private Idaho in 1991. Hang this photo on the wall in your living room, office, bathroom, hallway, or bedroom.
