Abandoned Rustic Barn: Central Oregon Landscape Photography
Photo of an old abandoned storage barn in a ravine somewhere in Central Oregon. The photo is looking at the rear of the building. This building could very well be the last remaining artifact of an old homestead of the early settlers, or part of an early 20th century cattle ranch, or both. The fact that this is a tall building with a ventilation shaft suggests that this barn was used for hay or grain storage. The roof outline and difference in weathering on the lower portion of the back wall also suggest there once was another building attached that was either dismantled or rotted away, or both. The yellow hills in the background along with the green trees and shrubbery in the foreground both surround and hide this place to give it a cozy feel. This building will keep withering away until it finally succumbs to the creeping death of the wind, rain, snow, cold winters, and hot summers of the Central Oregon desert. Keep this piece of history alive long after it's gone by hanging it on the wall in your living room, office, hallway or bedroom.
